More About Me

I am somewhat of a computer nerd.  God gave me the option…..he said you could either have grace and good looks, or……be intelligent and computer savvy.  I don’t think that there is anyone here guessing with avenue I chose.  It turned out to be a package deal,  I got the brains, but I didn’t realize he was going to throw in the social insecurities, and the slightly nasal voice, but it also came with the star wars trilogy, so it works out ok.

I think I have made this blatantly obvious by now, but I am single.  I know I repeatedly mention my amazing social skills and such on my site, so it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone.

But here is something that I don’t understand….why is it that people that are miserable in their relationships always want to play matchmaker??!  I will be talking to a friend, and they will be complaining about their spouse or significant other, and then almost immediately follow that up with ‘we need to find you someone’.  Um, yeah thanks.

They will ask what I look for in a woman.  And I will tell them the first thing I look for in a women is her shoes.  That’s true.  I want to find a woman that I can keep up with when she starts to running the opposite direction.  "What are those, Adidas?  No, she’s not my type…..but that girl with the flip-flops is kinda cute."

I don’t really do the dating thing.  Awhile back, I did go out with this one girl, and I really wanted to impress her, so I took her to the most expensive restaurant in town.  So there we are at that little café at the airport, and we were asking each other questions to get to know each other, and she asked me probably the stupidest question I have ever heard.  She asked, “if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?”  I thought about it for a second and replied “a Christmas tree”.  She thought that was sweet….she said ‘because you are a gift giver’.  NOPE.  Because you remind people of happy memories?  Not so much.  It’s because I am only really useful for a couple days out of the whole year.
