| Over
the past few years, I have heard multiple people talking about how
"difficult" the public schools can be on children, and I
personally gravely disagree. I think the expectation level has
dropped severely in this and many other areas. I personally
think that the schools in this area are quite lax on students, and
really expect students to produce a sub-par mentality. Last I
heard, they are offering "Area High School Diplomas"
free with a fill-up at the Texaco down the street.
Here is an example of public
school expectations. We were assigned to write a 6-7 sentence
paragraph justifying whether or whether not society can
function without laws. I wrote down the assignment, but
absent-mindedly forgot to complete the assignment. When we
were asked to pass our homework in, I simply wrote "No."
(carefully minding my capitalization and punctuation). Here is
the results of my laziness.
I blatantly didn't follow the
instructions of my homework and yet received a 60% grade (which was
a passing grade in that class). Do you still wish to argue the
competency of public schools?!?!
