Growing up, I recall many times
that my mom commented on my hair being 'oily'. On it's own, that
comment really didn't phase me in the slightest....until I realized that I
was being set up for disaster.
One day, when I was about seven years old, I got really bored while taking a bath and started to read all the colorful bottles that surrounded me. First, I grabbed my mom's shampoo, and the bottle said something to the extent of 'Le Expensive Shampoo: for full body and radiant bounce'. So it was completely obvious to me that the front of the bottle tells the name of the product and what is does for your hair. I then proceeded to grab for my shampoo to read what wonderful things mine did, and much to my dismay, my shampoo said 'Pert Plus: for oily hair'. Little did I know that I was being sabotaged this whole time to have oily hair. It was very traumatizing. I have since come to a conclusion that the shampoo is actually to TREAT oily hair (I came to that conclusion about...oh.....20 minutes ago), but at the time I thought it was just another evil parents' plan to suppress me. *Updated* I am trying a new shampoo these days..it's called Nair, maybe you’ve you heard of it? Granted, all my hair was falling out, but as I was watching each and everyone one of my hairs wash down the drain, I can honestly say that they all had radiant bounce.
